Raindrops On Roses...

Allium Globemaster

Whoa. Rainy. It's been storming here off and on since last Thursday. A full week of rain has made for soggy perennial beds, sopped clothing and muddy pups. It makes for great photos though...

There's just something about fresh droplets hovering on foliage and petals. The photos above were snapped yesterday during my pre-work garden runabout, but the photos below are some oldies.

It's almost the weekend for us and I could not be more excited. Workerman and I are celebrating our birthdays Friday and Saturday (we're 3 years and a day apart) and on the 29th we'll be celebrating 9 years together. Our moms asked what we had planned for our days and the answer was "lots of digging."

Stay tuned :)

  2. Whoa - rain for an entire week! Well, I bet the plants will really take off after that! Happy Birthday to you and your husband. And Happy Anniversary, too. I hope while you're digging, you plant something special commemorating the occasion.

    1. Thanks, Holley. At your suggestion, we've decided to plant a tree in our front yard :) Now, to decide what kind...
